Did I make any?


Did I make any New Year resolutions?  Nope, I don’t need to add more weight to my already ‘pressurized’ life.  Most days, I already end up looking at what I haven’t achieved.  (Such as making a dent in the enormous pile of ironing that appears to be breeding!) Why am I so hard on myself?  Is it because I’m a woman, a mum or British?  If someone bumps into me in a shop, I apologize!  What’s that all about?  Enough!  This year is going to be different and there are going to be some changes around here.
1.        I am going to stop apologizing for things that aren’t my fault.

2.       Congratulate myself on the tasks I have accomplished each day.  (Be that securing an amazing deal on my car insurance or managing to serve the kids up breakfast cereal for tea! Don’t knock it til you’ve tried it...they love it!)

3.       Be genuinely thankful for my many blessings. (Despite four of them running me ragged and driving me crazy!)

4.       Invest in some ‘me time’. (Whatever that is!)

5.       Say goodbye to my past, remembering the happy moments and leaving the rest so that I can start a brand new chapter of my life. (Sounds good in theory!)
Do these sound like New Year resolutions?  Oops!!  In that case I had better add one more.

     6.        Lose 15lbs!!
